OREANDA-NEWS  In the east of Crimea, about 2,225 people are being evacuated from the village of Krinichki, Aivazovskoye, Abrikosovka, and Privatnoye due to a fire at a landfill in the Kirovsky district, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

Temporary accommodation facilities were organized for them in the schools of the villages of Pervomayskoye and Kirovskoye.

"The provision of hot meals and everything necessary has been organized," the Ministry of Emergency Situations assured.

The fire at the landfill began on the night of July 19. Because of the fire, a section of the Tavrida highway, which connects the Crimean Bridge with Sevastopol, was blocked. Transport from it is redirected to the old road.

It was reported that residents of the settlements closest to the landfill were evacuated for about a day.

In connection with the fire in the Crimea, an operational headquarters was created, it was headed by the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov.
