OREANDA-NEWS  A Ukrainian reconnaissance boat was destroyed in the area of Russian gas production facilities in the Black Sea on the night of August 22, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In June last year, the Crimean authorities reported on the strikes of the Ukrainian side on the drilling platforms of the Chernomorneftegaz company in the Black Sea. On June 20, three Chernomorneftegaz towers at the Odesskoye field, 71 km from Odessa, were hit by the APU. As a result, a fire started. There were 109 people on the platforms, three were injured, seven were missing. Senator Olga Kovitidi said that the workers managed to "reset the gas" before the strike — otherwise there would have been a large-scale explosion, in which Odessa could have suffered.
