OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian military tested in the Chernihiv Region a light portable missile system Corsar with a thermal imager. On May 21, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported of this on its Facebook page.

It is noted that the tests were conducted under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexandr Mironyuk.

The press service added that the missile system is designed to destroy targets with all types of armour: tanks, armoured personnel carriers, high-speed landing boats, as well as targets of a small size.

Earlier it was reported that Corsar is able to fire at a distance of 2.5 kilometers, and the guidance of the missile is carried out with a laser beam. One of the main features of this complex is the dimensions that allow it to be transported and fire “from the shoulder” without the use of additional devices.
