OREANDA-NEWS Two Navy ships damaged in a missile strike on a ship repair plant in Sevastopol will be fully restored and will continue combat service as part of their fleets. This was stated by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The damage to the ships was reported in the military department on the morning of September 13. Ukrainian cruise missiles hit the Sergo Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant, where the vessels were under repair. The Ministry of Defense did not specify their names.
During the attack on Sevastopol, according to official information, 24 people were injured, four of whom are in a state of moderate severity. Seven out of ten missiles were shot down.
Also at sea, an attack was carried out on a detachment of ships of the Black Sea Fleet using unmanned boats. They were destroyed by the patrol ship "Vasily Bykov", the Ministry of Defense reported.
A fire broke out at the plant after the missile strikes, which was assigned the fourth rank of complexity; according to Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the fire was "very quickly eliminated." "There is no open fire anymore. There is no threat to the city," he wrote in Telegram.
Seven apartment buildings and one private one were damaged; debris was found on the territory of one of the schools, Razvozhaev said, promising that "we will do everything that can be done at the expense of the city."
