OREANDA-NEWS Russia has already exported 70 million tons of agricultural products this year, which is 8% more than in the same period last year, in particular, more than 1 million tons of wheat were shipped to new markets in Africa and Asia, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut said.

"I would like to note that this year we have already delivered 70 million tons to the international market. This is 8% more than in the same period last year," Lut said about the export of agricultural products at the final board of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. "We continue to work on developing new markets, in particular, we are expanding wheat supplies to Africa and Asia, and this year more than 1 million tons have been shipped to countries such as Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Mali, Gambia, Burkina Faso, CAR and a number of other countries," she added.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation noted that deliveries of barley to Qatar, wheat to Serbia, oilcakes and oilseeds to Morocco and Vietnam began, and India and Egypt bought Russian juices for the first time.
