The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Announced the Shortage of Some Drugs for Patients with COVID-19
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, there is a shortage of some drugs for patients with coronavirus in Russia, and because of this, the possibility of their supply from abroad is now being discussed.
During a meeting of the coordinating council for the fight against coronavirus, Murashko noted that the volume of supplies for a number of drugs had been increased.
According to the Minister of Health, there is still a problem in a number of regions of Russia regarding the volume of supplies of the anti-coronavirus drug Favipiravir. The supply of anticoagulants has been increased. But we still see that the deficit for the network remains, and therefore with the Ministry of Industry and Trade we are discussing the possibility of additional supplies from abroad.
According to Mishustin, in order to reduce the load on the pharmacy chain, it is necessary to competently organize the provision of medical care to patients with coronavirus who are treated at home.
For this reason, the Prime Minister instructed to extend the allocation of free drugs for patients with coronavirus and prepare a corresponding draft decree. According to him, there is already a positive trend in those regions of Russia that were the first to provide such patients with the necessary medicines free of charge.
