OREANDA-NEWS  On August 22, the Day of the National Flag, a Russian flag with an area of more than a thousand square meters was unfurled at the Victory Museum. This tricolor is listed in the Russian "Book of Records and Achievements" and is kept in the funds of the Victory Museum. The guests of Victory Park took part in the ceremony.

"My family and I were returning home, to Simferopol, from vacation. We found out that the largest flag of our country will be unfurled in front of the Victory Museum, and we decided to participate in this event too. It turned out to be quite difficult to hold the canvas, even my hands were tired, but it was so solemn and large—scale that I will remember this event for the rest of my life," Natalia Salangina said.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of volunteer and youth organizations, military educational institutions and the orchestra of the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the country.

Ekaterina Linkovskaya performed the song "Where the Motherland begins", "Russia" and other compositions dedicated to our country.

Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russians on the Day of the Russian Flag.
