OREANDA-NEWS. Polish television channel TVP Info announced that on April 14, the largest transport aircraft in the world, An-225 Mriya successfully landed at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw. It delivered to Poland a cargo of protective equipment to combat the epidemic of coronavirus infection at the amount of more than 1,050 cubic meters. Journalists specify that the plane delivered 76 tons of protective overalls, 11 tons of face shields and 9 tons of medical masks.

Cargo transportation was prepared by companies KGHM Polska Miedz and Lotos. The equipment was brought from the People Republic of China.

An-225 Mriya was manufactures in a single exemplar in 1988. It length exceeds 84 meters. The aircraft is equipped with six jet engines.
