The Kremlin Considers Certain Control Measures at the Entrance to the Regions of Russia to be Quite Acceptable
OREANDA-NEWS The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday, that the increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus in Russia may require the headquarters of the government and regional authorities to make additional decisions. At the same time, he did not specify exactly which measures could be taken.
As Dmitry Peskov explained if the situation continues to develop in this way, and if the number of infected citizens will continue to grow, as it is occurring at the moment, of course, this will be a topic for consideration by the government headquarters and by the authorities at the regional level. This will require some actions, some kind of decisions to change the situation. But now he can't say which measures could be taken.
Answering journalists’ questions, Peskov said, that the introduction of certain control measures at the entrance to the regions of the Russian Federation against the background of the coronavirus pandemic is quite acceptable, but the authorities are not talking about the closure of their borders by the subjects of the Russian Federation.
