The Kremlin Allowed the Imposition of Sanctions Against the Leaders of Unfriendly Countries

OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian authorities may impose personal sanctions against the leadership of countries included in the list of hostile to the Russian Federation. This was stated by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, his words are quoted by TASS. The day before, US President Joe Biden and a number of high-ranking US officials were included in the sanctions list.
And it is possible and should be expected, of course, - said the press secretary of the President of Russia in response to the question whether to expect the announcement of such sanctions.
On March 15, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced a ban on entry into the Russian Federation to American leader Joe Biden. Along with him, his son Hunter, US State Department Secretary Anthony Blinken, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, CIA chief William Burns, National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan, former presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a number of other persons. The Russian Foreign Ministry explained that such a step was an inevitable consequence of the "extremely Russophobic course" of the current US administration.
In addition, it became known that Russia imposed sanctions on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the ministers of defense and foreign affairs, as well as more than 300 citizens of this country.
