The IAEA has expanded cooperation with the Rosatom Technical Academy

OREANDA-NEWS The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has expanded cooperation with the Rosatom Technical Academy by signing a new four-year agreement with it, the IAEA said in a statement.
The agency's statement indicates that the IAEA has given the Rosatom Technical Academy the status of its cooperation center. According to Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General and Head of the IAEA's Nuclear Energy Department, this expanded cooperation will continue to bring "major results" in the field of nuclear science, safety and technology.
"The IAEA has given the Rosatom Technical Academy the status of its cooperation center by signing a new 4-year agreement with it, expanding the boundaries of their cooperation," follows from a statement published on the official portal of the IAEA.
As follows from the statement, the new IAEA agreement with the Rosatom Technical Academy is aimed at expanding IAEA support to member States in the field of small modular reactors (MMR), medical physics and radiopharmaceuticals. Rector of the Academy Yuri Seleznev believes that the signing of the agreement is a recognition of the quality of its training, which confirms the effectiveness of the Academy's programs for specialists in the developing nuclear industry.
Earlier, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, told RIA Novosti that he maintains contact with Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom state Corporation, not only during personal meetings, the parties also communicate by phone.
