The Head of Russian Intelligence Told about the Historical Destination of Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. Sergey Naryshkin, the Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, wrote that Russia’s historical mission is to prevent Europe from moving away from Christianity and creating a “brave new world.”
In his article for the Serbian newspaper Vecernje Novosti, he wrote that Moscow would oppose both racism and the cult of technological and civilization superiority, including the dominance of cyber technology in a totalitarian form.
Naryshkin writes: “For Russia and Serbia, the events of World War II serve as an important reminder not only of the common historical destinies of our nations, of glorious victories and of heavy losses. On this bloody page of world history, in a determinate sense, the essence of the historical mission of Russia and its related Slavic countries is written – with all our might to keep Europe from a final separation from the Christian tradition and attempts to create a “brave new world” on the Earth.”
The author of the publication adds that a rejection of the order established after the Second World War is tantamount to “opening the Pandora’s box.”
“Unfortunately, Moscow was unable to provide the necessary help for Serbia (At the end of the 20th century. – Ed.). Russia was too weak, exhausted by the struggle against internal separatism and international terrorism… But the expectations of American political strategists did not come true, Washington’s construction of a unipolar world on the wreckage of other states was not successful,” the head of Russian intelligence resume.
