OREANDA-NEWS In Germany, a large company Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH, a manufacturer of spare parts for European cars, including Mercedes and Audi brands, went bankrupt. This is reported by Bloomberg.

One of the activities of Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH was the manufacture of radiator grilles with four rings for Audi cars, various body linings for BMW and the production of logos for Mercedes-Benz.

After the company declared bankruptcy, 1.5 thousand people were left without work. Also, according to the publication, the supply chains of components for the Stellantis and Volkswagen car brands are under threat.

Earlier it was reported that in the first 11 months of this year, the total revenue of Chinese passenger car manufacturers increased by only 3 percent (or up to $1.3 trillion), expenses increased by 4 percent, and profits fell by 7.3 percent year-on-year. It is noted that in November, profit dropped by 35 percent, and the margin of the automotive industry was only 3.3 percent.
