The decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the establishment of the staffing of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To establish the full-time strength of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the amount of 2,389,130 units, including 1,500,000 military personnel," the presidential decree says.

This document comes into force on December 1, 2024.

The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to provide for the allocation of budgetary allocations from the federal budget to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation necessary for the implementation of this decree.
