OREANDA-NEWS  The Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has stopped the supply of weapons and ammunition from Ukraine. The seller, two intermediaries and two buyers were detained, a criminal case was opened, the press service of the department told reporters.

"The FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has suppressed an illegal channel for the supply of military firearms and ammunition from the territory of Ukraine. During the sale of the AKS-74U machine gun and more than 300 cartridges, the seller, two intermediaries and two buyers - residents of the city of Yevpatoria - were detained red-handed. Criminal cases have been initiated against these persons," the report says.

It is clarified that the cases were initiated under articles on the illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of weapons, the main parts of firearms, ammunition.

"Currently, all persons involved in criminal cases have been detained, a complex of investigative actions is being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the illegal activities of the detainees," the report says.
