OREANDA-NEWS The FSB of the Russian Federation announced the withdrawal of accreditation of the second secretary of the political department of the British Embassy in Moscow, Wilkes Edward Pryor, who provided false information about himself when obtaining permission to enter Russia.

"It has been reliably established that Wilkes Edward Pryor, the second secretary of the political department of the British Embassy in Moscow, who was sent to Moscow through the Directorate of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the British Foreign Ministry, who replaced one of the six British intelligence officers expelled from Russia in August this year, deliberately provided false information when receiving permission to enter our country than violated Russian law," the Center for Public Relations of the special service reported on Tuesday.

The FSB of Russia also stated that "signs of intelligence and subversive work by the specified diplomat that threatens the security of the Russian Federation have been identified."

"On this basis, the Russian Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with interested departments, decided to revoke Wilkes Edward Pryor's accreditation, and he was ordered to leave Russia within two weeks," the CSC said.
