The Foreign Ministry Hopes for the Earliest Possible Normalization of the Situation in Kazakhstan

OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow hopes for an early normalization of the situation in Kazakhstan, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We hope for the earliest possible normalization of the situation in the country with which Russia is linked by relations of strategic partnership and alliance, fraternal, human contacts," the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Russia is in favor of normalizing the situation in Kazakhstan through dialogue, not riots, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We are closely following the events in the brotherly neighboring country. We stand for a peaceful solution to all problems within the framework of the constitutional and legal field and dialogue, and not through street riots and violation of laws," the message says.
Kazakhstan did not ask Russia for help in connection with the unrest in a number of large cities, press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti.
"We are convinced that our Kazakh friends can independently solve their internal problems," the agency's interlocutor said.
The Kremlin spokesman also added that the situation should be resolved without outside interference.
Moscow maintains contact with Russian missions abroad in Kazakhstan, while the situation remains calm, there are no casualties among the Russians, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We keep in touch with Russian foreign missions in Kazakhstan. The situation around our diplomatic and consular missions remains calm. According to the information available at the moment, there are no injuries among the citizens of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement says.
