OREANDA-NEWS  A sharp warming in Russia is fraught with a deterioration of the epidemiological situation, she warned in a conversation with News.ru Tatyana Pozdnyakova, Chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau.

Climate change in Russia will lead to the melting of permafrost. Dangerous bacteria can "wake up" during thawing, the forecaster warned. In addition, thawing of the soil can lead to problems for communications and buildings that stand on permafrost, as the scarlet soil becomes more mobile.

On the other hand, warming will have a positive impact on agriculture. Already, in the middle zone, it is possible to grow those crops that used to grow only in the south. As the climate changes, the zone of more confident agriculture will move further north.

Earlier, Alexey Karnaukhov, a leading researcher at the Pushchinsky Scientific Center for Biological Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a specialist in global environmental disasters, explained the accelerated warming of the climate in Russia by the country's proximity to the Circumpolar region, where temperatures are rising faster than at the equator.
