OREANDA-NEWS. President Vladimir Putin was watching the joint exercise of the Northern and Black Sea fleets of Russian Navy.

The head of state followed the maneuvers held in the Black Sea from the guided-missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov. Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu was on board too.

During the exercise, missile firing was carried out. The Kalibr cruise missiles and the Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missile were launched. More than 30 ships, a submarine of the Black Sea Fleet and more than 40 aircrafts of Russian Aerospace Forces were involved in the exercise. The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Nikolai Yevmenov reported to the President that the exercise was successful.
