OREANDA-NEWS  The draft federal budget for 2025-2027 will be submitted to the State Duma not before September 15, but before October 1, follows from the amendment to the second reading of the draft law on amendments to the Budget Code, which was approved by the Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes. This is reported by TASS.

As the head of the committee, Andrei Makarov, explained, a large draft law on tax changes requires serious study from the point of view of the budget, which will require "a long time". In this regard, the deputies decided to give the Cabinet of Ministers "an additional two weeks to analyze these issues, how they will affect the situation, including within the framework of the forecast for socio-economic development," he said.

The second reading of the draft tax amendments, which, in particular, assumes that citizens with an annual income of 2.4 million rubles will be subject to higher tax rates, is scheduled in the State Duma on July 9. Earlier, the amendments prepared by the government were commented on by the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, referring to the calculations of the department, the changes associated with the introduction of a progressive personal income tax scale will affect no more than 3.2 percent of the country's taxpayers.
