OREANDA-NEWS During the winter months, the demand for couriers in Russia increased by 34 percent compared to the same period in 2022-2023. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from analysts of the <url> service.
At the same time, the average salary offers in this profession increased by 38 percent and exceeded the mark of 112 thousand rubles per month. Elena Artemyeva, Director of Analytics and Data Science at the service, clarified that the demand for couriers in Russia has been growing every month for the past few years.
This is due to a number of factors, including the growing popularity of delivery services. The growth in demand for couriers traditionally increases during the holidays, especially during the New Year holidays. "Traditionally, the hottest seasons for couriers can be considered (...) The whole of December is like the New Year's Eve season, as well as February-March due to gender holidays," Artemyeva summed up.
The growing demand for couriers in Russia is taking place against the background of a shortage of personnel in the logistics industry. Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper, citing a study by HeadHunter (HH) and PEC analysts, reported an aggravation of the personnel shortage in this sector. During this period of time, the demand for truck drivers and warehouse equipment, as well as freight forwarders and couriers has increased in the country.
