OREANDA-NEWS  Palestinian President Abbas will pay a visit to Russia from August 12 to 14, during which he wants to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to sources.

"He will arrive on August 12th. Talks with Putin are scheduled for August 13th. He is leaving on the 14th," the agency quoted the source as saying.

Prior to that, the source had several times pointed to the plans of the Palestinian leader to come to Russia, but pointed to August 18.

On June 27, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Abbas would visit Russia. He added that the dates of the visit of the head of state will be announced in a timely manner.
