OREANDA-NEWS The Kolyvan District Court in the Novosibirsk Region seized the property of JSC Kudryashovskoye (part of Sibagro) in the amount of more than 3 billion rubles during the process of environmental damage, the prosecutor's office of the region reports.
It is noted that the prosecutor's office of the Kolyvan district during the judicial investigation checked the property status of the organization, land plots, buildings and structures owned by it were established with a total value exceeding the damage caused.
"In order to ensure the execution of court decisions on the claims filed, the acting prosecutor of the Kolyvan district appealed to the court with a petition for the arrest of property belonging to the civil defendant. The court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor (...), it was decided to seize the property of JSC Kudryashovskoye within the amount of the claim (more than 3 billion rubles)," the press release says.
As reported, Vladimir Gavrilenko, the ex-director of JSC Kudryashovskoye, was brought in as a defendant in the case. He is charged under Part 1 of Article 250 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (water pollution), part 1 of Article 254 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (damage to land), part 4 of Article 261 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (destroyed or damaged forest plantations).
According to investigators, at the end of April 2022, the head of the enterprise, in violation of environmental protection legislation, in order to reduce production costs under the guise of soil fertilization, instructed a subordinate employee to transfer uninfected animal husbandry waste to land plots in the Kolyvansky district of the Novosibirsk region.
This has led to pollution of the lands and surface waters of the Amba River by harmful products of economic activity, destruction of forest plantations and the death of aquatic biological resources. According to the supervisory authority, the actions of the director of the enterprise caused damage to environmental components totaling more than 3 billion rubles. The prosecutor's office filed lawsuits for damages to nature for this amount.
Gavrilenko was detained in mid-October 2022, and in November 2022 Galina Irtuganova was appointed the new head of Kudryashovsky. After her appointment, she called one of her tasks "interaction with supervisory authorities and the formation of further plans of the enterprise, taking into account the comments of specialists."
Kudryashovskoye is the largest pork production company in the Novosibirsk region. The pig complex's facilities include three pig farms (one in Krivodanovka and two in Kolyvan), its own feed mill and a crop production unit.
Sibagro is a vertically integrated agro-industrial holding company founded in Tomsk in 2000. It unites 14 livestock and meat processing enterprises in the Ural, Siberian, Central and Far Eastern Federal districts.
