The Court Rejected Navalny's Claim to the Russian Colony
OREANDA-NEWS. The Vladimir Regional Court recognized as legitimate the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Vladimir, which previously rejected the claim of the oppositionist Alexey Navalny to the correctional colony No. 3 about the ban on lawyers bringing phones and laptops into the institution. This was reported by TASS on Tuesday, September 7, with reference to it's correspondent.
«The decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of the city of Vladimir of June 10, 2021 to leave unchanged, the appeal of the representative of the administrative plaintiff Alexey Navalny without satisfaction», the agency quotes the words of judge Alexey Semenov.
Navalny twice filed lawsuits in the Oktyabrsky Court of Vladimir against the administration of IK-3, in which he had been since mid-April. In both cases, the court sided with the colony's leadership, it follows from the documents published on the court's website. The reason for the appeals was that Navalny's lawyers were not allowed to bring technical means to meetings with him.
In April, Navalny's defense filed three lawsuits against the administration of IK-2 in Pokrov. They were connected with the decision of the colony's leadership to put Navalny on preventive registration as prone to escape, the refusal to issue books brought by the politician and purchased in the colony, including the Koran, as well as the fact that materials are cut out of newspapers that the Russian oppositionist receives.
