OREANDA-NEWS  The Charge d'affaires of Latvia in Russia, Datse Rutka, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday, she was strongly protested in connection with the next wave of destruction of Russian historical and cultural heritage in Latvia, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

"On December fifth, the Charge d'affaires of Latvia in Russia, Datse Rutka, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. She was strongly protested in connection with the next wave of destruction of the Russian historical and cultural heritage in this Baltic state. In particular, we are talking about the dismantling of the monument to military commander Barclay de Tolly, the Pushkin memorial plaque, the bust of Kern," the message published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry says.

Rutke was told that the aforementioned malicious actions of Latvian Russophobes are deeply immoral and unacceptable in the civilized world, the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
