OREANDA-NEWS The Bank of Russia on Monday, September 9, issues commemorative coins - a silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles and a copper-nickel alloy with a color coating with a face value of 25 rubles - dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the signing of the agreement on the creation of the Union State of Belarus and the Russian Federation, the regulator reports.

"On September 9, 2024, the Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins "25 years since the signing of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State": a silver coin with a nominal value of 3 rubles, made of a copper-nickel alloy with a color coating with a nominal value of 25 rubles," the Central Bank said in a statement.

The silver coin with a nominal value of 3 rubles (the mass of the precious metal in purity is 31.1 grams, or one troy ounce, the alloy sample is 925) has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 39 millimeters. On the front side of the coin there is a relief image of the coat of arms of Russia, there are inscriptions: "Russian Federation", "Bank of Russia", coin denomination "3 rubles", date "2024", metal designation according to the Periodic Table of elements of D.I. Mendeleev, alloy sample, trademark of the St. Petersburg Mint and the mass of the precious metal in purity.

The 25-ruble coin has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 27 millimeters. On the obverse of the coin there is a relief image of the coat of arms of Russia, above it along the edge is an inscription in a semicircle "Russian Federation", framed on both sides with double diamonds, on the right is the trademark of the Moscow Mint, under the coat of arms in the center in three lines is the inscription: "Bank of Russia", coin denomination "25 rubles", date "2024". The circulation is 50 thousand.

On the reverse side of both coins there is a color image of symbols dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State, against the background of a relief composition of Belarusian and Russian folk ornaments. There is a protruding edge along the circumference of the obverse and reverse sides of the coin.
