OREANDA-NEWS At the beginning of 2025, the growth rate of monthly salaries of Russians continues to remain high and outstrip the dynamics of labor productivity in the country. This is reported in the press release of the Central Bank (CB) following the meeting of the Board of directors on the key rate.

By the end of 2024, the average monthly salary in Russia, adjusted for inflation, according to Rosstat, increased by 18.3 percent in nominal terms (in real terms, plus 9.1 percent) and reached 87,952 rubles. At the same time, in December, the figure was 128,665 rubles (plus 21.9 percent).

The December salary statistics were influenced, among other things, by the partial postponement of the payment of annual bonuses from the first quarter of 2025, the regulator noted. The above-mentioned circumstance eventually fueled consumer activity in the first months of this year and contributed to maintaining a significant imbalance of supply and demand in the domestic market. All this does not yet allow us to talk about a steady decrease in inflationary pressure on the Russian economy.
