OREANDA-NEWS. The body of a 21-year-old prisoner was found in Tomsk correctional colony No. 4. On Friday, May 14, the prosecutor's office of the region reports. According to the department, the body of a resident of Kolpashevo «with signs of suicide» was found on May 2 in the toilet of one of the detachments of a high-security colony.

The name of the deceased or details of his death were not disclosed. The prosecutor's office and the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service began checking the incident.

The investigation of the procedural check on the fact of the death of a young man was put under the control of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kirovsky district of Tomsk. During the inspection carried out by the Prosecutor's Office for supervision of compliance with the laws in correctional institutions of the Tomsk region, an assessment will be made of the timeliness and completeness of preventive work with convicted officials of the correctional institution, as well as compliance with regime requirements in the colony.
