The Area of Forest Fires in Russia Increased to 40 Thousand Hectares

As reported by TASS with reference to the relevant press release, the area of forest fires in the regions of Russia without foci in remote and remote areas per day increased by about 8 thousand hectares - to almost 40 thousand.
"At 00:00 Moscow time, on July 1, 2019, 83 forest fires were active in Russia on an area of 39,931 hectares, which were actively extinguished," the statement says.
In remote and remote areas, according to Avialesookhrany, over the past 24 hours, 137 forest fires were recorded on an area of more than 709.6 thousand hectares. These fires do not extinguish, since the costs of their elimination, according to the agency, exceed the projected damage. The main area of such hot spots is in Yakutia.
Earlier, the RIA56 with reference to the Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Orenburg Region reported that a natural fire was eliminated in the territory of Novotroitsk urban district.
On June 22, the Ministry of Ecology of Yakutia reported that the fire destroyed almost 200 thousand hectares of forest in the region.
