He noted that in a year and a half, from June 2023 to December 2024, the Central Bank's key rate increased 2.8 times. "This affects investments in fixed assets. We can already see by the results of the fourth quarter of 2024, and according to forecasts for 2025, that a significant decrease is expected in investments in fixed assets, which is due to the high cost of loans," Kovalchuk said.

According to him, investments continue only in those areas where interest rates are subsidized, "or in case of hopelessness, when the investment cycle can no longer be stopped."

"As part of our event, we will, among other things, analyze the impact of the key rate on federal budget expenditures," the head of the Accounting Chamber added.
