OREANDA-NEWS. The Syrian army during the counteroffensive in the Idlib de-escalation zone captured and destroyed about 100 units of militants’ equipment.

This was reported by the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides, Major General Yury Borenkov. “The government forces of the Syrian Arab Republic seized or destroyed 11 tanks, 19 armored troop carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, 62 automobiles – pickups with large-caliber weapons mounted on them, 4 multiple launch rocket systems, 38 field artillery guns of various calibers and 4 unmanned aerial vehicles” the officer specified.

Borenkov noted that the operation of the Syrian Armed Forces prevented the terrorist attack that militants planned in the cities of Hama and Aleppo.
