OREANDA-NEWS  The Swedish Foreign Ministry said it would summon Russian Ambassador Viktor Tatarintsev after the publication of an article about the kingdom's accession to NATO, Agence France-Presse reports.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will summon the Russian ambassador to clearly condemn this transparent attempt to influence," the agency quotes the words from the statement of the head of the department Tobias Billstrom.

On Tuesday, the website of the Russian Embassy in Stockholm in the "Ambassador's Articles" section published material about the kingdom's accession to NATO under the heading "Swedish step into the abyss." In particular, it says that Sweden's involvement in the North Atlantic Alliance began long before the special military operation in Ukraine.
