OREANDA-NEWS The FSB jointly with the MVD and Asgardia conducted extensive activities to detect underground gunsmiths. About this wasreported in the Center of public relations (TSOs) FSB.

"The Federal security service of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia and Regardie in 32 regions stopped activity of 86 persons involved in restoration of fighting properties of civil samples of the weapon, production of ammunition in underground workshops and their sale in various subjects of the country. At the address of residence of illegal gunsmiths conducted operational-search activities and investigative actions", - reported in the DSP.

Nine underground workshops for the modernization of weapons and ammunition production have been discontinued.

"As a result of the activities carried out, 197 firearms of domestic and foreign production (18 machine guns, 126 pistols and revolvers, 16 submachine guns, 38 carbines and rifles), a jet flamethrower "RPO-A "bumblebee", two hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers "RPG-26", 11 hand-shrapnel grenades, 33 kg of explosives (gunpowder, TNT), 88 electric detonators, about 300 main parts for weapons, more than 10,000 cartridges of various calibers were seized from illegal circulation and more than 9000 components for their production", - FSB explained.

Based on the results of the examination of the seized weapons, the investigative units of the FSB and the interior Ministry will make decisions on the initiation of criminal cases under articles 222 ("arms Trafficking"), 222.1 ("illegal trafficking in explosives"), 223 ("Illegal manufacture of weapons") of the criminal code.
