Media journalists studied the announcements of the Japanese corporation at the Sony State of Play event and found out how Sony justifies the high cost of the new console. The PS5 Pro presented on September 10 was estimated at $ 700 in the United States, in Europe the device will cost more — 800 euros, or about 83 thousand rubles.

According to the authors of Wccftech, Sony has stated several times that the games previously released for the PS5 will be adapted and improved for the PS5 Pro. "The console brings a lot of extra power, which has allowed us to really improve the graphics while maintaining a consistently high frame rate," said Jan—Bart van Beek, art director at Guerrilla Studios, which is part of PlayStation Studios.

So, on State of Play, the creators of the Gran Turismo 7 simulator noticed that on the PS5 Pro their game supports ray tracing during racing, and not only when rendering car surfaces. The authors of Horizon Forbidden West and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered stressed that their games will display twice as many frames per second in the PS5 Pro.

Earlier, Neowin journalists noticed that gamers criticized Sony because of the high price of the PlayStation 5 Pro. In particular, users said that the console costs 800 euros, but does not have a disk drive included.
