OREANDA-NEWS In the morning of December, 31 collapsed entrance of a house in Magnitogorsk. According to the preliminary version, the cause of the collapse was a gas explosion. Four people were killed, the fate of 68 residents of the entrance is unknown.

The collapse of the seventh entrance of the apartment building at Karl Marx Avenue, 164/2, in Magnitogorsk occurred around 4: 00 GMT (6:00 local time) on December, 31.

Damaged 48 apartments located on the floors from the third to the tenth.

As a preliminary cause of the incident in the Ministry of Emergency Eituations called the explosion of domestic gas. The regional office of the FSB reported that other versions are not considered.

To eliminate the consequences, more than 1,300 people and 200 pieces of equipment are working on the site, two temporary accommodation points for residents of the house with a capacity of 1,450 people in two local schools have been deployed. Also psychologists of the Ministry of emergency situations are directed to a place.

According to the latest data, four people were killed, four people were hospitalized with injuries, 16 people were evacuated. Also evacuated residents of the neighboring two entrances.

The fate of the 68 people who lived at the entrance, is unknown. Earlier it was reported about 79 missing. As reported RBC Deputy Governor Oleg Klimov, it turned out that some people were visiting relatives. Analysis of blockages continues.

In total, more than 1 thousand people lived in the house. In the damaged entrance spelled out 111 and another nine people were filming the apartment.
