Singer Igor Levchenko Arrested on Charges of Calling for Violence Against Russian Servicemen
OREANDA-NEWS Singer Igor Levchenko has been taken into custody in the Moscow region on charges of calling for violence against Russian servicemen, TASS reports on March 18.
«At the request of the investigator of the investigative department for Krasnogorsk of the IC of Russia in the Moscow region, the court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention against a 25-year-old native of the Ukraine accused of extremism (paragraph «a» of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)», said Olga Vradiy, a representative of the IC of the Moscow region.
The fact that the arrested man is singer Levchenko, a law enforcement source told the agency. It is noted that during the interrogation he confessed and admitted guilt in full. Linguistic and complex psychological and psychiatric examinations have been appointed in the criminal case.
The criminal case was initiated based on materials received from the FSB of Russia in Moscow and the Moscow region, after the accused posted a video on Instagram on February 24. Psychological and linguistic expertise found in the video «signs of incitement of hatred and enmity towards Russian servicemen with the threat of violence and the commission of their murders».
