OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu flew to the United Arab Emirates, where he will hold talks on further cooperation in the field of international security with President Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Russian Security Council office reported.

The parties will discuss "problems of international security, bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic and military-technical spheres," and issues of interaction between law enforcement agencies and special services of Russia and the UAE are also on the agenda.

"Shoigu noted that the relations between the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates are exclusively of a trusting and partnership nature and are of strategic importance for both states," the Security Council said.

On September 11, Shoigu said that Moscow intends to strengthen contacts with the UAE through the Security Councils.
