OREANDA-NEWS  In the Moscow region, law enforcement officers detained 11 people, two of whom are consultants of the department under the Ministry of Social Development of the Moscow region and one is a consultant of the department under the Ministry of Investment and Industry of the region. About this said Olga Vradiy, an official representative of the Moscow region Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

Depending on the role and degree of participation of each, they are considered suspects under articles 290 ("Taking bribes") and 291.1 ("Mediation in bribery") The Criminal Code OF the Russian Federation. All 11 people have already given confessions and incriminating statements. They were placed under house arrest.

According to investigators, from 2019 to 2023, the detainees took bribes through intermediaries from entrepreneurs of the Moscow region for issuing quotas to attract foreigners to work without carrying out established verification measures. On average, 12 thousand rubles were charged for one foreign specialist. At the same time, from 100 to 350 quotas were issued at a time, depending on the entrepreneur.

Earlier in Sochi, a court sentenced a local resident to 10 years in a high-security penal colony for trying to become an intermediary in bribery.
