Several Anti-coronavirus Restrictions have been Lifted in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin warned that restrictions will be eased in the Russian capital in the coming days due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus.
It has already been announced that tomorrow, from January 22, Moscow will resume the work of cultural public institutions - museums, libraries, etc. As for the maximum permissible number of spectators in theaters, cinemas and concert halls, it will double, that is, concert and cinema halls it will be possible to fill with spectators up to 50 percent of the capacity. The same applies to all entertainment, sports, exhibition, educational events with spectators.
From tomorrow, restrictions on the operation of children's entertainment centers, day camps, children's rooms in the shopping and entertainment center, and children's corners will be lifted in Moscow.
The normal working hours of colleges and sports schools will be resumed, transport cards will be unblocked for Moscow students.
At the same time, many anti-coronavirus restrictions in Moscow continue to operate. These include restrictions on the work of cafes, bars and restaurants, which cannot receive visitors from 23:00 to 6:00; remote work mode for 30 percent of employees of Moscow enterprises; as well as strong recommendations to observe the home regime for residents over 65 years of age and suffering from chronic diseases.
According to the mayor, the situation with COVID-19 in Moscow inspires "cautious optimism" for the authorities. Sobyanin admitted that other restrictions would soon be lifted.
