OREANDA-NEWS The construction of seven enterprises for the processing of the most hazardous industrial waste is planned in Russia. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko on Monday at a meeting of the presidium of the United Russia faction in the State Duma.

As Abramchenko noted, about 8 billion tons of various wastes are generated in the country per year. And the main problem is industrial waste.

"Firstly, we are creating an infrastructure to work with the most hazardous waste in the industrial sector. This is waste of the 1-2 hazard classes. 30 billion rubles have already been allocated to create seven enterprises that will be engaged in the disposal of such waste. In this block, we are also engaged in digitalization in order to be able to trace the entire chain from the formation of such waste to their disposal at specially equipped sites," Abramchenko said.

Seven special enterprises, according to the government's forecast, will be enough.
