OREANDA-NEWS. A teacher and six children were killed in the shooting in a Kazan school. The tragedy was reported by the emergency services of the region.

Earlier it was reported that unknown persons opened fire near the educational institution, and later an explosion thundered. According to preliminary data, a teenager shot, he was detained. Now the children are being evacuated from the school.

The teenager, who allegedly arranged the shooting at a school in Kazan, was detained, a spokesman for the emergency services told RIA Novosti.

"The security forces have detained a teenager who is suspected of shooting at a school," said the agency's interlocutor.

According to him, the age of the teenager who shot is approximately 17 years old.

The shooting happened supposedly at school № 175, which is located on Faizi Street, 8. They still refuse to comment.

21 ambulances were sent to the scene. The Minister of Health of Tatarstan Marat Sadykov and the prosecutor of the republic Ildus Nafikov also went there.
