OREANDA-NEWS  The company "Silent Wings" of the Kalashnikov concern has begun mass production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for vertical takeoff and landing "Legionnaire". This was reported in the concern.

"By the end of this year, it is planned to produce 100 pieces, in 2025 - 250 pieces, in 2026 — more than 1000. The main customer is the State Transport Leasing Company," the message says.

The drone is designed for aerial photography, cargo transportation, laser scanning, patrol and ice reconnaissance. The device can be supplied with additional target loads and with two types of engines: electric and gasoline.

In September, Silent Wings presented the Alfa-E unmanned helicopter with a cargo transportation case at the All-Russian Festival of Unmanned Aircraft Systems "Reach for the Sky". The device can be used to deliver essential goods to hard-to-reach areas.

In the same month, the Kalashnikov Concern reported that the Karakurt mini-drone was included in the third-generation Legionnaire combat equipment being developed.
