Sergei Sobyanin Said the Number of Patients with Coronavirus in Moscow will Soon Approach 3 Thousand Per Day
OREANDA-NEWS Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin is worried about the epidemiological situation in the Russian capital. He announced an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the city. According to him, in the near future the number of people infected with coronavirus in Moscow will approach three thousand people per day.
At the same time, he said, such an increase in the COVID-19 incidence rate cannot be called a "second wave of coronavirus". He is sure that then there is no second wave as such, because the second wave is usually called a secondary disease of those who have already been ill.
But on the other hand, according to the mayor’s words, the situation in the capital remains difficult. Sobyanin noted an increase in the number of infected citizens who require hospitalization. According to him, now their number has approached a thousand people a day, and two weeks ago there were half of them. But in spite of all the difficulties, Moscow hospitals continue to provide planned assistance to the citizens.
Moreover, at the same time, according to him, there is enough bed capacity in Moscow for coronavirus patients. He added, that every day, they withdraw additional blocks of hospitals from the reserve, which were reserved for patients with corognavirus.
