Secondary housing has risen in price in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS By the end of April, prices for secondary housing increased in 60 out of 70 cities of Russia with a population of 300 thousand people. The fact that ready-made real estate has risen in price in the country is stated in the study of the federal portal "World of Apartments", the results of which are transmitted by TASS.
During the month, the average cost per square meter in the secondary market increased by 1.8 percent, reaching 100.5 thousand rubles. The most noticeable positive dynamics was in Cheboksary — plus 7.7 percent, Kirov — plus 7.2 percent, Chelyabinsk — plus 6.6 percent. Magnitogorsk and Togliatti closed the top five, where growth was 6.4 and 6 percent, respectively. Vologda (plus 5.2 percent), Volzhsky (plus 5 percent), Nizhny Tagil (plus 4.7 percent), Kurgan (plus 4.6 percent) and Volgograd (plus 4.4 percent) also made the top ten.
In Moscow, the "square" rose by 0.7 percent, to 300 thousand rubles, and in St. Petersburg - by 0.2 percent, to 187.2 thousand rubles. According to Pavel Lutsenko, the general director of the portal, the activation of the segment, the devaluation of the ruble and the flow of consumer demand from the primary market contributed to the increase in prices for secondary housing.
