OREANDA-NEWS. Russia constantly maintains contacts with Iran and Venezuela on the issue of combating the spread of coronavirus infection, including exchanging analytical information with them. This was announced on Monday to the Russian media by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 4 million people have been infected with coronavirus in the world, about 280 thousand have died. In Russia, according to the data of the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, 221,344 cases of infection were registered, 39,801 people recovered, 2,009 died. The Government of the Russian Federation launched the stopkoronavirus.ru resource to inform about the situation in the country.

In Iran, 109,286 cases of coronavirus infection were registered, the total number of deaths is 6,685. As of May 3, 357 cases of infection were recorded in Venezuela, 10 people died.
