OREANDA-NEWS  Russians will fly abroad more often in 2024, the share of compatriots flying abroad may amount to 23-33 percent of the total passenger traffic. This was stated by Artur Muradyan, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) for outbound tourism, General Director of the Space Travel tour operator.

According to the expert, these indicators can be achieved if Russian airlines complete the procedures for settling leasing and insurance issues with foreign partners.

"Recall that with extensive financial support from the state, Russian airlines S7, Ural Airlines and Aeroflot have completed the "cleaning" of 92 aircraft. Now these aircraft will be able to fly abroad," ATOR points out.

Other experts say that the share of foreign passenger traffic will be a maximum of 23 percent, but even this figure will be higher than predicted in mid-2022.

Earlier it became known that the domestic carrier S7 Airlines settled an insurance dispute over 45 aircraft with lessors. Foreign companies have also withdrawn their demands to the Russian parties.
