OREANDA-NEWS  The European part of Russia is now in the epicenter of the Arctic invasion — under the influence of two vortices that have formed a steady nord stream. The Russians were warned about this at the PHOBOS Center.

"However, this is even good news for the region — an anticyclone has already begun to form in the area of cooling. As a result, precipitation will practically stop on the Russian Plain today. They, along with cyclones, will move east under the pressure of the high pressure area," the forecasters explained.

Meteorologists no longer expect intense downpours, but in the northern Kama region, in the Middle Urals, as well as in the middle reaches of the Ob, rains may turn into snow. According to experts, the peak of the expansion of winter will come on Thursday, October 10 — snowfalls will reach the border with Kazakhstan.

The entire Ural Ridge, Western Siberia, the upper reaches of the Ob and Yenisei will be covered with snow. In the European part of Russia, snow will fall only in the Perm Region and some parts of Bashkiria and the Komi Republic. Low-cloud weather and frosts are expected in the remaining territories.

Earlier, residents of Moscow were warned that the peak of cold weather this week will be on Wednesday, October 9. The thermometer columns in the capital will stay at plus 7-9 degrees, in the Moscow region — 5-10 degrees Celsius.
