OREANDA-NEWS The level of trust of Russians in domestic products currently stands at 91 percent, said the head of Roskachestvo Maxim Protasov at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Protasov called this figure a record in recent years. He also said that currently there is no need to create pressure on business, while doing everything so that the quality of goods does not decrease.
As part of the monitoring activity, Roskachestvo checked more than 10.5 thousand products in 232 product categories, that is, 90 percent of products from the basic consumer basket of Russians. Protasov also said that according to the results of the half-year, 64 percent of manufacturers, after receiving information about "flaws" in products, report a correction.
Earlier, the head of Roskachestvo supported the idea of extending the permissible residual shelf life for products, if this does not affect the quality of goods. Protasov noted that due to the terms of the contract, suppliers in some cases have to dispose of goods that are still usable.
Meanwhile, 41 percent of Russians in July noted a significant increase in food prices. Every third participant in the survey called the rate of price growth moderate, and 14 percent considered them insignificant.
