OREANDA-NEWS The Consular department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Denmark will suspend its activities and stop providing services to Russians in full. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the consular department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry noted that such a decision was made in connection with the unprecedented decision of the local authorities to reduce the number of Russian diplomatic workers in Denmark.
The source says that from September 6, the acceptance of applications and documents on all consular issues, including passport processing, notarial actions, visa processing, pension and other issues, will stop.
The issuance of ready-made documents (passports, visas, requested documents and certificates) will continue until September 25, the consular department of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
The message also notes that the diplomatic mission is working to preserve the possibility of consular services for Russians.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to Denmark's demand to reduce the staff of the Russian embassy. "We regard the demand of the Danish authorities to reduce the number of diplomatic staff working at the Russian Embassy in Copenhagen from 15 to 5 people as another manifestation of the hostile position of the Danish leadership towards our country," she said.
