OREANDA-NEWS The mass relocation of young Russians to villages would contribute to the development of rural life. Natalia Koshikhina, a member of the Social committee of the Federation Council, urges young people to return to the outback, she is quoted by Prime.

"I think that our guys need to consider the issue of a possible move with all seriousness," Koshikhina said in an interview with the agency. Moreover, according to the senator, it should be not only about ensuring that the villagers stay at home, but also about increasing the attractiveness of villages in the eyes of the townspeople. Thus, ruralization will help boost the economy in villages and small towns, as well as improve the situation in the agricultural and tourism sectors.

Koshikhina is convinced that it is possible to popularize the resettlement of young people to villages through the efforts of well-known bloggers. Influencers could promote this idea to the masses by speaking on forums. In addition, it is possible to dispel stereotypes and show the beauty of rural life during special excursions, including virtual ones, the senator believes.

Earlier, the State Duma proposed to relocate those in need of housing to abandoned villages. Such a right, as deputies believe, can be provided on the terms of caring for the site and the building, as well as timely payment for housing and communal services.
